First Barn Fire of 2016 Claims 50,000 Lives
On January 1, 2016, 50,000 ducks burned alive in a barn fire at Brome Lake Ducks near Racine, Que., about an hour and a half from Montreal. According to company CEO, Claude Trottier, the facility also served as a research site yet no fire suppression means were installed to protect the birds.
